Tuesday
On Tuesday when we came in to our room we had new seats! Then went to mass, Fr. Mike was the priest. He didn’t’ have an “experiment” for us. When we came back from Mass we had math, we did our Kansas Assessments. We came back from Mass and listened to our story, Life in Flatland.
Papa John’s was for lunch and it was good. It was raining outside so for indoor recess we watched Narnia. During Science we read an article in the newspaper about the solar system. After that we picked our Heritage Fair presentation dates. Next we received our report cards and had a long shop time! Then, we blew this Popsicle stand and went home!
Wednesday
When we came into the classroom we turned in our “oops pass” from the third quarter and did the usual routine. Time for Mass, Father Mike was there. There were no 8th graders since they have Confirmation, cool. After Mass we had Math and Kansas Assessment again. We had Spanish. After that we learned about Italy, because we are “going there” this year.
It’s was lunch time and there is no special lunch, after lunch we had indoor recess AGAIN. We had Dear Time and a Science worksheet then the Rosary. We had a Councilor come in also; finally, we had shop and went home.
Thursday
We came in and did our MW. Then we grabbed our reading packet and vocabulary book. We took a spelling test after that. We went to Science in the morning because of Kansas Assessments, next Music and PE classes. Then it was time for lunch. Then we had recess it was then time for Dear Time. DEAR stand for Drop Everything And Read. We had Kansas Assessments after that.
We played hands and thumbs and watched the second grade program, next time for SHOP, then we went home.
Friday
We came in and did the usual routine; next we took our reading and vocabulary tests. After that we went to computer, it was our free day. We started our Read In after Computer. Library was next and we started our class books.
Off to more reading time, then lunch! Recess next followed by DEAR as usual. Then we watched Hercules, and then we went home.
