ESPN Report 1.23.12: Andrew Payne

MONDAY

NO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!

TUESDAY

We started the new week off with morning work. Then we went to mass. Our priest was Fr. Bill. After mass we read a new story, “A Mountain of A Monument,” took notes, and then went to math. After math we had 15 min. of free time and then went to art. In art we had Mrs. Woods as a substitute teacher and took notes. After art we went to lunch and the special lunch was HY-VEE. Then we went to recess… BRRRRR. After recess we had d.e.a.r time, and bathroom and drink breaks. Then we went to science class, shop, and went home.

WEDNESDAY

We started the day with morning work. We went to mass and FR. Bill was the priest. When we got back we went directly to math. After math we corrected morning work and then went to Spanish. After Spanish there was Battle of the Books and regular lunch and recess. After recess came science. Next we had the heritage fair project and we FINALLY got to use the laptops. Then came shop and we went home after a hard day.

THURSDAY

We started the day off with morning work. After morning work we had our spelling test. Then we graded our reading packets and reading comprehension. After we were finished grading we went to math. After math we went to P.E. and music. In music we played our recorders and in P.E we played the bowling pin game and dog catcher. After we went to lunch and special lunch was Fazzoli’s. Next up was recess. After recess we went to science. Then we had religion. After religion we went to the first grade play. Then we had shop and went home.

FRIDAY

 We started the day with our morning work, followed by library and computer. Lunch and recess came next. Later we had math and after math we had science. Then we went to social studies and finished the day with shop. Finally, we went home, after a great week.

ESPN Report 1.17.12: Elizabeth Oltjen

MONDAY

Today we started out our day with M.W. The we  had  reading. In reading we read our new story. We also wrote down our new vocabulary words for the story.  After that we went to math. In math we graded our study guide and we went over conversions.  At the end of math we had extra time and we played haeds-up-7-up. We came back from math and  went to music and P.E. In music we had our free day and played B-I-N-G-OJ. In P.E. we played scooter hockey. Then we went to lunch and recess. When we came in from recess we had D.E.A.R. time. After D.E.A.R we went to science. In science we read from the book and did a work sheet. L We came back from science and we did L.A. It was really easy. Then we had S.S. In S.S. we made bullet points in groups with the people who had the same country for the Heritage Fair. Finally we had S.H.O.P. and we went home.

TUESDAY

As usual we started off our day with M.W. Then we went to mass and Blake altar served. We came back from mass and went to math. In math we took our test. Then we went to art. In art we did this sponge  painting thing. It was a mess but it was really fun. After art we went to lunch and recess. The special lunch was Culvers. When we got back from recess we had D.E.A.R., like usual. Next we went to science. In science  we read from the book and did 1-5 think and write. L Then we came back and had religion. In religion we presented our posters. I think that wisdom books did really good. We started working on L.A. In L.A. we took notes on capitalization. Then it was S.H.O.P. and we went home.

WEDNESDAY

We started off our day with M.W. Then we went to mass and Blake altar served again. We came back and we went to math. In math we took notes and did a work sheet on geometry. L After that we went to Spanish and most of us tested unless you didn’t test the week before. Congrats to the people who passed. We came back and graded our DOL and DG. Then we went to lunch and recess. There was no special lunch.

 L After  that we came back inside and we had D.E.A.R. Then we went to science and in science we watched “The Magic School Bus.” Next we had S.S. In S.S. we made a ven diagram about the Hopi and the Navajo. After that it was S.H.O.P and we went home.

THURSDAY

Today we started off our day with M.W.  Then we took our reading quiz and our 2 vocabulary quizzes. After that we went to math. In math we played a game but I forgot what is was called. Then we went to music and P.E. In music we learned a new song on our recorders. In P.E. we waited in line and jumped over mats. We came back and got our lunches and went to lunch. The special lunch was Panera. After that we went to recess  and we came back inside and had D.E.A.R. Then we went to science. In science we watched a video on Newton’s Laws. Then we had L.A. In L.A. we took notes and we did a work sheet. Then it was S.H.O.P and we went home.

FRIDAY

MONDAY

No school!!! J

Tuesday

As usual we did our morning work. Then we went to mass and learned about I,H,S. After that we did our notes on our new story we read it in partners. Next we went to Art .Then we went to lunch it was. After that went to recess it was no really cold. Then we had D.E.A.R and went to science we watched a video. After that we went to back to our room. Next we did religion and L.A we did a worksheet and had S.H.O.P. Then we finally went home.

Wednesday

As always we started our day with morning work. Then we went to Mass. After that we did some holes brushers and went and went to math then did some more brushers. Next we went to Spanish and we got new names and people who wanted to do there test did it while others colored there names on name tags or studied. Then we went to lunch it was chick-fil-a after that we had recess. When we got back we did a little D.E.A.R and more brushers. After that we went to science. When we got back from science we did some S.S then we graded our L.A. .After that we had S.H.O.P. And left K

Thursday

As usual we did our MW then we got a couple people fitted in for brushers some people did books. Then we graded our reading packet. Then we went to math after that we went to P.E and music we tested in music and in P.E. we jumped and hopped over blocks and he talked about the Olympics. After that we graded some DOL and went to lunch it was Papa Johns then we had recess. After that we had D.E.A.R then we went to science and when we got back from our room we got everybody’s brushers in they were all really great everyone worked hard they looked great too. Then we graded our spelling packet that was due so we switched with each other and graded them it didn’t take very long. We did a little religion and we made posters we did them in groups then it was S.H.O.P . then we all went home K

Friday

We started our day with MW and if you did not finish your poster you could do it before 8:30A.M. we took a vote that we would do all of our tests on Friday so we did our reading test. Some people were pretty confident others were just tired and our class finished pretty fast then we took our spelling test. Then we had library Mrs.Walsh said “we all did really well” some people read theirs to the class. Next we went back to our room and did some corrections on DOL then we went to lunch it was spaghetti then we had recess. After that we had D.E.A.R. . Then we went to math and science  when we got back we talked about heritage fair and how to use special sheets for stuff. We had a pink sheet and yellow one. Then some people finished their religion poster others didn’t. Next it was S.H.O.P then we all went home.
