ESPN Report 11.21.11: Alex Henning

ESPN News Report

Monday

                        Today is a new week, and as usual we start off with Morning Work. Today our specials are P.E and Music. Everyone looked tired to me. It looked like everyone is trying to get back to our normal routines.  We read our new story called, Digging Up The Past.  We then went to Mrs. Freeman’s class and sang Mass songs. After that we went to P.E. and played Ultimate Basketball. Then it was time to check our D.O.L.  We ate lunch and went outside for recess.  The weather was nice especially for November.  Then we read during D.E.A.R. time and we did science. In science we checked our Super 6 and we drew a picture. Our class then did Religion. We talked about The Word of God and Faith. We also made Jesus poems. Then we had shop time and it was time to go home.

                                                     Tuesday

                               Today we started the day off with Morning Work like usual. Then we went to Mass, and our Priest was Fr. Mike. We looked over our book, Holes.  Then we went to math and we did Math Football. We also worked on pictographs. We finished looking over Holes and then went to Art. In Art, we painted our food that we made out of clay.  When Art was over we went to lunch and recess. We had Planet Sub for lunch.  After that our class went to the restroom and got a drink. We had D.E.A.R. time and we went to science. We learned about the ocean. Later, we learned about the Aztecs in Social Studies. Then we wrote our notes to our pen pal. We had shop and went home.

Wednesday

                               Today we had all school mass. Then we went to math. After mass, we went to Spanish and had a test. Then we checked our D.O.L., Hanna and Juan corrected the sentences. Then we ate lunch. After lunch, we went recess and science. We then had Religion. We thought of ideas to help the people in Joplin. Then it was shop time.  We picked our readers for next week’s mass. The gift bearers are: Cooper, Joe, and Olivia. The readers: Kaitlyn and Betsy. Then we went home.

                                            Thursday      

                               Today is a usual day. First we did our Morning Work, and then we had our spelling and reading test. Then it was time to go to math. After that we went to P.E and music. Then we went to lunch. We went to recess and then D.E.A.R.  Later we went to science and watched The Magic School Bus. Then we had shop and went home.

Friday

                           Today is a usual day. We went to computer and library.  After library we ate Fazoli’s for lunch. Then we went out for recess.  We went to Science after recess.  Then we had Faith Families and left for home.  Everyone is getting excited about the weekend and the short school week coming next week.

ESPN Report 11.14.11: Caroline Gunderman

Monday, Nov. 7^th

  We came to school and began M.W. After that we read, Dear Mr. Henshaw, with partners and we worked on our reading comprehension. Then it was time for Math. After that it was time for Music and P.E. Then we had lunch, no special lunch, and recess. When we got back from recess we had DEAR. Then we had Science. In Science we watched a video over the oceans and took notes. When the video was over we studied for our Science quiz with a partner. Then we had Language Arts. In Language Arts we talked about combining sentences. Then we had Religion. In Religion we got with partners and made CD’s about the creation story. Then it was time for shop and we went home.    

 Tuesday, Nov. 8^th

   We got to school and started our M.W. Then we had mass, our priest was Fr. Mike. Then we had Language Arts, we were working on run-on sentences. We went to Math, after math we went to Art. In art we worked on sculptures of foods with clay. Then it was time for lunch, we had Culver’s! Then we had recess. Next we had DEAR, as usual. After that we went to science. In science we learned about oceans and studied for our quiz tomorrow. Then we had Social Studies. In Social Studies we learned about the Maya, Inca, and the Aztec. Next we started our novel, Holes. Then we had shop and it was time to go.

   Wednesday, Nov. 9^th

      First we came to school and began M.W. We had an all-school mass, our priest was Fr. Bill. Then we had Math. After Math we graded our spelling packets. Then we had Spanish. In Spanish we went over the days of the week and the months. Next it was time for lunch, no special lunch. After that we had recess. Then we had DEAR. Next we had Science, we had a quiz over the vocab. words. Then we had Social Studies, we made Mayan codices. Then we had shop and it was time to go home.

  

Thursday, Nov. 10^th

  First we came to school and started our M.W. Then we studied our spelling test before taking the test. Next we had our reading test. After that we had Math, we had our test. Then we went to Music and P.E. After that we corrected our DOL and DG. Next it was time for lunch, we had Bistro Kids. Then we had recess. When we came back in from recess we had DEAR. Next it was time for science. We had a worksheet and we got our study guide for our test. Then we had Social Studies and we made tin foil masks. Then we had shop and it was time to go home.

  Friday, Nov. 11^th

   We started M.W. Then we had Computer, it was our free day!!! Then we graded our reading packet. Next we took our vocab. test. Then we did a Veterans Day project. After that we went to Library, it was also the book fair!! Then we graded our DOL and DG. Next it was time for lunch, we had Mr. Goodcents. Then we had recess. After that we had DEAR. Then we had short-switches for Math and Science. Next we had Funky Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then we went home.

ESPN Report 11.7.11: Matt Couture

MONDAY  We did not have school, it was also Halloween.


TUESDAY  We got to school and everybody looked tired from Trick Or Treating. Since Tuesday was All Saints Day we had a Wednesday schedule. We did our morning work and got ready for an all school mass. When we got back to the class room we read a little part of It’s Our World Too then went to Math. We learned how to divide by two and three digit numbers and got homework pages 110 -111. After Math we read more of It’s Our World Too then we went to Spanish and talked about Days Of The Dead. When we got back from Spanish we read the rest of It’s Our World Too. After that we went to lunch which was Chick Fil-A and went to recess. When we got back we had D.E.A.R. and went to Science. In Science we played BINGO and graded Super Six. After Science we had Religion. We talked about what made a saint and then drew a picture of who we thought was a saint in our lives. After religion we had S.H.O.P. and went home.

WEDNESDAY Since Tuesday was All Saints Day, Wednesday we followed a Tuesday  schedule. We did our morning work and got ready for 5th - 8th grade mass.When we got back from mass we went to Math. After Math we went to Art and talked about Pop Art. When Art was over we went to lunch, it was also Battle Of The Books. After that some of us went to recess, Then we had D.E.A.R. and went to Science. In Science we took notes on Oceanography and graded Super Six. After Science we had Social Studies. After Social Studies we had S.H.O.P. and went home.


THURSDAY  We did our morning work and then graded Spelling and Reading packets then we had Math. After Math we went to Music and got homework. After Music we went to P.E. and played Volleyball. When we got back from P.E. we graded morning work After that we went to lunch which was Papa John’s then we went to recess When we got back we had D.E.A.R. and went to Science. After Science we had Social Studies.After Social Studies we had S.H.O.P. and went home.


FRIDAY  We did our morning work and then went to Computer class the computers where not working so instead of a Free Day we had to do packets about the computers. When Computer class was over we went back to the class room and worked on our Spelling packets after that we went to Library.  In Library we read The Widows Broom.  After Library we went to lunch then recess. When we came back in,  we had D.E.A.R. and went to Math. After Math, we went to Science. In Science we took notes on an Oceanography video and graded Super Six. After Science we had Social Studies. After Social Studies we had buddies in Mrs. Magsamen’s 1st grade class.  Lastly, we had S.H.O.P. and went home for the weekend.
